DealRoom
How DealRoom built a custom Clay pipeline to rank target accounts by M&A activity and expanded their TAM by 50%+.
The situation
DealRoom builds M&A lifecycle management software, and their best-fit buyers are companies that acquire other companies regularly — acquisition frequency is a direct proxy for who's in-market. The standard way to get that data is a PitchBook subscription. DealRoom wanted the signal without the spend, and no systematic way to build and maintain it in-house.
Astra helped us setup our new Clay account and first Clay table in a matter of days. We had working integrations with HubSpot and APIs, he created a workflow prototype, workshopped with us and added value to our go-to-market workflow. I highly recommend Astra GTM.
What we built
We set up DealRoom's Clay workspace and first Clay table, with working HubSpot and API integrations, in a matter of days. On top of that foundation we built a custom scraping and enrichment pipeline that sources acquisition history directly and scores every target account by acquisition frequency.
The pipeline qualifies each account against DealRoom's ICP and ranks it, then delivers ready-to-work target account lists straight to their team — including companies their prior process had never surfaced.
